We stayed at the Mandalay Inn from 8th Oct 2007 for 3 nights and I must say the owners, Mr.Maung Maung and wife Keantea and all their staff has been just great.
We were treated more like friends rather than customers and the place is very clean that we felt guilty wearing shoes inside the first day, so we just took our shoes off when going inside, as all the staff also goes barefooted inside. This is just like home.
The staff are very eager to talk to you on your visits to the various places of interest and are never pushy to take the tours.
Upon checking out early in the morning, Mrs. Maung even got up early to bid my wife and me goodbye! That to me and my wife was so great. The two women then gave each other a big hug!
Yes, I would definitely recommend anyone going to Siem Reap to try the Mandalay Inn hospitality.
p.s. Try the food at their restaurant. Mrs. Maung does the cooking and it's real nice and reasonably priced.

The place is Clean, cozy rooms with some nice extra touch that you often pay for in other hostels such as towels, soap, drinking water, internet and so on. Location is fantastic and very closed to the restaurants and the Old Market area are only a 3 minute walk. Everybody that working there from owner to drivers were very knowledgeble, honest, helpful and friendly. Very plus thing is that, there is Fitness center, Travel agent in house and credit card accepted without extra charge. I would love to recommend that place and definately will be back.. Good luck to all Mandalay Inn menber.

It is a realcosy guest house. Definitly central, cheap and clean. The restaurant is very simple but its dishes are various and definitly tasty. There are some computers wich you can use to connect.
The rooms are nice and paid 15 dollars for a room for king size bed, toilette and (working!) air condition. The reception guy were actually is "I do everything" guy. They can arrange for you transferts to temples, poipet, bycicle exc. Recommend to book in advance, they will come to pick you up at the airport or at the bus station free. You will not save a lot of money but it will much easier to quit from tout at Boat, bus or the airport.
Highly Recommended..

I stayed in Mandalay Tower during 3-7 December 2006. This place is very clean, new and very close to the Mandalay inn and the old market. All staffs and guest house owners are nice. His tuk tuk driver can speak english good enough to help us arranging the trip during all three days visit. Their staffs are shy but they are trying to talk to us in both Thai and English. I have very good experience here and hope to get back soon.

My friends and myself (a group of 4) stayed @ the Mandalay Villa from 19Oct to 22Oct. The rooms were very clean, and the staff, Mr and Mrs Muang were really helpful and hospitable to us thru'out our stay, seeing to all arrangements for us.
Especially like to thank Mrs Muang for the borbor which she specially prepared for us on our 2nd morning there, and the staff who woke up @ 4am just to make sure our breakfast was ready for us @ 5am when we went to see sunrise @ Angkor Wat.
Cheers, and all the best =)

We just stay in Mandalay Villa for 5 days on 20/9-24/9/06. I would say pretty clean and decent place to stay. Everything is new and staff is friend and helpful.
If you are staying there, make sure you check with them on local tour. Coz they do have a friends staff who can take you to tour to Angkor Wat and provide you the tours options.
If i would given to rate Mandalay, I would give 4/5 star for the price we paying.

I first came accross Mandalay Inn from the tips of Accomodations in Virtual Tourist site. It is a newly refurbish guesthouse, operated by a Burmese and his cambodian wife. I was not dissapointed and actually quite surprise of what they offered. Their central location is a plus and their rooms are spacious and squeaky clean. Maung-Maung, the owner, is simply marvelous and helpful. The service of the staffs are 5 star rated; greetings on arrival, towels everytime we came back are such welcoming. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone. Unique Qualities: Great restaurant that serves authentic Cambodian and also Burmese dishes. The price is very reasonable too. We actually came back at noon from our temple tour and have a quick shower and lunch before continue exploring again. Clean, spacious rooms, strong aircond, hot shower, laundry, welcome drink, welcome towel, free ticket booking.

Dear Maung Maung,
I just wanted to send you a quick "Thank You!" for my recent stay at your fine establishment. This was my first trip to Cambodia and the Mandalay Inn made the trip a great value! My room was exactly as I expected: comfortable, clean and in a great location. The most pleasant aspect of my stay was the wonderful staff! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful and went out of their way to accomodate any requests I had (transportation, currency change, etc...)
Again, thank you so much for a great stay! I will definetly be back and will not hesitate to recommend the Mandalay Inn to all my friends!
All the best,
Omar Musfy

Dear Mr. Maung Maung,
Good day to you!
We are back in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. Thanks to your staffs, wife and your kind hospitality during our one week stay in Siem Reap. My wife, niece and I enjoy the stay in your Inn and the programme you arrange. The weather has damper some of the visits which is nature control. But we will make up if we are coming back again. If we do have any friend coming to Siem Reap we will recommend your Inn.
Keep in touch and best of luck in your business.
Have a nice evening.
Best regards to you and your family.
Karen & Yow Wai.

Dear Maung Maung,
I would like to put into record how impressed I was when I walked into your Mandalay Inn during my recent visit from 27th July to 2nd August 06. Your inn has provided a homely warm atmosphere that gave me a comfortable stay during my one week vacation with my Uncle Chan and aunty Karen. Your wife and staff have provided excellent services to see to our daily breakfast, tours, etc. The room was spacious, well equiped and most importantly, clean. The inn is so near to the market whereby I can make a couple of trips a day to buy my stuffs. Keep it up and I am recommending some friends, who are going there in September, to make their accommodation booking from you.
Regards, BettyLai
